Master of Divinity I (MDiv-I)

The Master of Divinity, Track I degree is specifically designed for seminarians undertaking our Programme of Priestly Formation. Applicants are required to complete a total of 115 postgraduate credits, allocated as 112 credits in core subjects and 3 credits in freely chosen elective courses. For full-time students, the typical academic load ranges from 12 to 15 credits per semester, with 15 being the maximum allowed.

The structure of the Master of Divinity programme is meticulously planned to ensure a balanced and sequential progression. Each term offers a diverse mix of courses in Biblical studies, theology, and pastoral care, all of which work together to deepen one’s understanding of the Church’s scriptural, doctrinal, liturgical, and ministerial traditions.

To be awarded the Master of Divinity degree, students must not only complete all prescribed courses but also successfully pass comprehensive examinations and submit, for approval, a detailed research paper on a Theological Field Education project (the Comprehensive Theological Reflection Paper).
